The Social Investments conference, organized annually by the business publication Vedomosti, was held in Moscow. This event serves as a dialogue space for businesses, government entities, NGOs, and charitable foundations to discuss current challenges, best practices, and new partnerships anticipated for 2025.
The session titled “Accessible Space, Equal Opportunities” was a central venue for discussing business inclusion. Anna Shapiro, the HR Director of Urbantech Group, participated as a speaker and shared the company’s successful efforts in creating job opportunities for individuals with autism.
“We have a lot of positions related to information technology, enabling us to offer specialized work that suits individuals with autism,” Shapiro noted.
Currently, Urbantech Group employs 7 individuals with autism on a permanent basis, with over 20 specialists engaged in project-based work.
Inclusive practices are gaining attention: “We’ve been invited to share our experience, which helps us expand our initiative,” Anna Shapiro shared. Inclusion in business is more than a trend—it’s a genuine contribution to the sustainable development of society.
