21.05.2025

Urbantech Group has been included in the annual BigTech 100 ranking of Russia’s largest technology companies, published by the analytics agency Smart Ranking. In the 2025 results, the company secured 66th place, reaffirming its position among leaders in the country’s digital industry.

BigTech 100 features 100 private Russian companies that are actively developing and implementing digital solutions in both business and everyday life. The main selection criteria are revenue scale and the company’s focus—the companies must be driving the adoption and growth of digital technologies aimed at business environments or daily users. Urbantech’s inclusion in the ranking underscores its significant contribution to the development of Russia’s technology infrastructure.

Today, Urbantech Group specializes in road traffic safety, the digitalization of the transport sector, and creating safe environments for living, working, and personal development in urban areas. The company’s portfolio includes the largest road safety concession projects in Russia, located in the Moscow Region and the Republic of Dagestan, as well as service contracts for the supply and maintenance of traffic enforcement cameras in Moscow and the Leningrad Region. Urbantech also designs and implements intelligent transport systems in the Moscow Region, Nizhny Novgorod, and Makhachkala.

Among the implemented projects, under the “Safe City” program, the company has installed and now maintains 778 cameras in the Moscow Region and 70 in Moscow. In addition, Urbantech Group has completed engineering, procurement, and construction work for the installation of a further 510 cameras in the capital.

The company’s in-house production of “Azimut” traffic enforcement cameras enables Urbantech Group to rapidly scale solutions across regions and integrate cutting-edge digital technology into transport safety infrastructure.

The implementation of Urbantech solutions has already led to a significant reduction in accidents. Since 2016, the number of road accidents in the Moscow Region has fallen by 43%, with fatalities down nearly 45%. In Dagestan, the introduction of “Azimut 4” traffic enforcement cameras has reduced accident rates by 42% at installation sites in just a few months.

The deployment of intelligent transport systems in the Moscow Region and Dagestan has also delivered impressive results: road capacity has increased by 25%, while congestion times have been cut by 50%.

Urbantech Group’s inclusion in the BigTech 100 ranking highlights not only its sustainable growth in digitalization, but also its significant contribution to the technological future of the country.
