Urbantech Group participated in Day for the Prevention of Child Road Traffic Injuries in the Moscow Region

The Urbantech Group took part in a regional event dedicated to the Day for the Prevention of Child Road Traffic Injuries, titled Safe Roads for the Children of the Moscow Region. This event was held at a school in Krasnogorsk and was attended by Dmitry Volkov, the head of the urban district; Victor Kuznetsov, Major General of Police and Chief State Road Safety Inspector of the Moscow Region; and Ksenia Mishonova, the Regional Children’s Rights Commissioner.
«We are pleased to see such engagement and interest in road safety,» said Victor Kuznetsov. The Major General stressed that the role of traffic inspectors is to instill a sense of responsibility in children about following traffic rules, and he highlighted the vital role that parents play in this matter.
The day’s program featured a festive concert, a workshop on making reflective items, an exhibition of drawings on road safety, as well as an open lesson titled My Safe Route to School and a session at the traffic park.
At the conclusion of the event, volunteers from the Urbantech Group distributed reflective bracelets and backpacks to the students to enhance their visibility on the road. They also handed out exclusive coloring books, developed in collaboration with the Ministry of Transport of the Moscow Region, which illustrate common traffic situations and explain how to navigate them safely.
«Preventing injuries and promoting road safety play a vital role in enhancing traffic safety, particularly for children, who are the most vulnerable road users. We believe that understanding the importance of adhering to traffic rules should be instilled from a young age. Play is one of the most effective ways to learn new information. Therefore, to support this event, we provided children with coloring books created in collaboration with the Ministry of Transport of the Moscow Region. These books are designed to make it enjoyable for schoolchildren to learn the basics of road safety and how to navigate the traffic environment,» noted Alexander Dombrovsky, Deputy CEO and Director of the Road Safety and Analytics Department at the Urbantech Group.
