24.09.2024

On September 18th, at the Cloud City Forum in Moscow, Andrey Denisenkov, the founder and CEO of the Urbantech Group, presented AI-based solutions designed to improve safety and optimize urban infrastructure. In his speech, he discussed the types of issues that can be addressed using video surveillance systems and how data gathered from these cameras can enhance city management.

«We specialize in traffic safety and video analytics. The cameras we operate not only detect violations but also aid in planning and enhancing road infrastructure,» Denisenkov highlighted during his speech.

The application of video analytics improves traffic flow management: cameras installed on roads enable real-time monitoring of vehicle movement, helping to manage traffic and prevent congestion. Moreover, video surveillance systems aid in monitoring compliance with public transportation routes.

Data from city surveillance cameras play a key role in ensuring public safety. They help in preventing, recording, and investigating offenses, as well as in promptly responding to emergencies in the city.

Andrey Denisenkov specifically highlighted the field of ecology, where video analytics is finding increasing application in tackling various tasks related to environmental monitoring and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations. In the Moscow Region, the OSSIG Control system, developed by the Urbantech Group, is used to manage the disposal of construction, demolition and soil waste. Since 2021, this solution has efficiently tackled the issue of illegal construction waste dumps in the Moscow Region, which pose a significant threat to the environment. It utilizes artificial intelligence and machine vision technologies to monitor the transportation of construction waste. The deployment of the system in the region has resulted in a 57% decrease in illegal construction waste dumps, saving more than 150 million rubles from the budget.

The Cloud City Forum was centered on the future of megacities in BRICS countries and welcomed guests from over 30 nations. The business agenda focused on the development of megacities. The participants discussed digitalization, emerging technologies, advanced management practices, major infrastructure projects, and entrepreneurship.
