UrbanTech Group Launches Unique Campaign To Prevent Drunk Driving
24.07.2024
The UrbanTech Group continues to support initiatives aimed at preventing road traffic injuries in the Russian regions. The company has become a co-organizer of a unique drunk driving prevention campaign, conducted jointly with the State Road Safety Inspectorate and the Moscow Region Ministry of Transport. During the Sober Driver social initiative, traffic police officers in the Moscow region, together with volunteers from MVS Group (a subsidiary of the UrbanTech Group), distributed free sobriety test kits to drivers.
Each kit includes information about the consequences of driving while intoxicated, data on the average time it takes for various alcoholic beverages to be metabolized by the body, and three disposable Shinkarenko-Mokhov indicator tubes. These tubes are an effective means for assessing the presence of alcohol in the system through the analysis of exhaled air.
This is especially important during holidays, weekends, and the summer cottage season when many people travel outside the city and alcohol consumption is often part of the relaxation. To ensure that drivers can test themselves the next day before the journey back and confirm that there is no alcohol vapor in their breath, they can use a simple and visible self-testing tool.
The UrbanTech Group has developed and manufactured over two thousand devices for monitoring sobriety, which have been supplied to the State Road Safety Inspectorate of the Moscow Region. The distribution campaign for personal breathalyzers will continue in the majority of municipalities in the region until the end of July.
