Deployment of ITS and the Sputnik integration platform in Nizhny Novgorod

In 2021, the Urbantech Group became the technological partner for the Nizhny Novgorod region, focusing on the design and implementation of a regional Intelligent Transportation System (ITS). The functionality developed, as well as the installation of new and enhancement of existing ITS equipment, advanced the development of the regional intelligent transportation system and improved traffic safety indicators.
The ITS network includes 600 traffic lights, 244 traffic regulations enforcement checkpoints, and 188 video surveillance cameras, video detectors and controllers.
The deployment of the Sputnik integration platform enabled the consolidation of the urban and transportation services with multiple ITS subsystems. The deployed platform brings together over 3,000 public transport vehicles, more than 10 urban and transport services, 25 ITS modules and subsystems, and 5 urban information systems.
